Quote of the day: Miss Piggy

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.

Second-hand find: Blue Burberry Blazer

English: Dark blue Burberry blazer in top quality and with the nicest buttons. I love blazers with 2/3 length sleeves and that is exactly what you get, when you buy a jacket that once belonged to a tween.

One of the most inspiring parts of second-hand shopping (apart from it being kind of like a treasure hunt for adults, of course) are the stories and images about the clothes’ previous owners that pop up in your brain.

I’m sure this jacket once inhabited the shoulders of a very polite and nicely combed little public school boy. I’m SO glad he grew out of it. I paid 12 pounds for it in my favourite shop, St. John’s Hospice in St. Johns Wood.
