Favourite blog: Go Fug Yourself

fug (n.)
1. A state of extreme ugliness. Ex: “The level of fug at the Video Music Awards is always hard to stomach.”

2. A proper name for someone possessed of eternal heinousness, as Chloë Sevigny: “Oh look, there’s Fug, looking all miserable and dour in her black turtleneck and white frilly farm dress.”

It’s a bit evil, but never too much. Jessica Morgan and Heather Cocks used to work as recappers but for the last 6 years they have been the driving force behind the extremely witty and well-written blog GoFugYourself that tears apart A-D celebrities’ outfits on the red carpet.

It’s always fun to see what the celebs are wearing and the blog is quite a “reverse” inspiration to me, as I tend to love the outfit that the bloggers hate the most. Like the ones seen on Chloë Sevigny,Roisin Murphy, Maggie Gyllenhaal and of course the queen of avantgarde: Hussein Chalayan muse Tilda Swinton.

  1. Ha ha, I normally love the ones they hate too – especially SWINTON!

I went to see a screening of Tilda Swinton’s film I Am Love in the cinema next to our Danish class venue, and she did a Q&A sessions afterwards – she looked even more stunning and incredible in person =)

  2. OMG how cool is that. you got to meet SWINTON!
What did you think about the movie? Can you recommend it?

    • Yes, I even got to ask her a question! It was very cool.

I loved the movie, visually beautiful, and darker than it seems at first. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you admire SWINTON!

  3. Great, thanks. Will definitely give it a try now 🙂
